The school nurse service is available to young people from the age of 5 to 19 years, this is whether you attend school, home-educated or attend an alternative educational placement.

The school nurse can be seen in school, a clinic or community setting.

You will also see the school nurse during vaccination/immunisation programmes and we should have the dates available on this website.

Most school nurses offer a drop-in service where young people can come and talk about any problems or worries they may have.  This is a confidential service.

Some schools do not support a drop-in service, but young people can still access help and advice from a school nurse.

School nurses run health and well-being clinics that have some appointments out of school hours.

You can telephone or email us for an appointment. You can email the school nurse team on LHNT.Your-SchoolNurse@nhs.net
